As we enter into
Springtime, the Governor's Office of Highway Safety will be preparing for the
next Click It or Ticket mobilization (May 2003). The May mobilization will be
very important to our state and will be instrumental in the determination of
future federal funding for our State. Our goal is to break ALL enforcement
activity records this May, but we need the help of ALL Law Enforcement Agencies
in the State in order to reach this goal. Not only is enforcement important,
but reporting your enforcement activity to Gordy Wright is needed as well.
I am attaching a sign up form for the Click It or Ticket Campaign and the
Operation Zero Tolerance Campaign. Please print it out, fill it out and fax it
to the number on the form. This form should appear familiar to you because you
filled out a form just like it for the past few years. This form helps us
identify the agencies that are participating in the mobilizations, and of
course, we hope to have 100% participation again.
The mobilization dates are as follows:
Click It or Ticket: May 19 - June 1
Operation Zero Tolerance: June 27 - July 13
Both of these mobilizations are especially important because we have to report
all enforcement activity to NHTSA.
Since we are still in March, I hope this information will give you enough time
to plan your enforcement accordingly.
If we can be of any assistance to you, please feel free to call. My # is
404.473.1521.
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we ARE saving lives.
